Jersey Take Two
This week we've had the pleasure of build two new Treka 16 minibuses for the State of Jersey. These vehicles, finished in a distinctive ambulance yellow, will be used on the island of Jersey for passenger transport as well as non-frontline ambulance work when required. When we engaged with State of Jersey one thing became central in their needs: infection control. This presented an opportunity to take our class-leading product and apply some new thinking to help ensure this vehicles meet the rigorous infection control standards required to move patients; all metal storage boxes, a vinyl drivers seat, and a vinyl headlining are just some of the ways we helped meet these requirements. Built on a MWB Mercedes Sprinter 514 with automatic transmission, the final conversion specification included 4 Phoenix passenger seats trimmed in vinyl, Eberspächer air conditioning, a PLS stretcher lift with DoorSafe safety arm, 6-camera CCTV system, with front and rear parking sensors. We look forward to seeing these vehicles helping those in need very soon.
