Harrow Council Renew Fleet with 103 Treka's
In late January we began delivering the first of 103 new Treka vehicles being built for Harrow Council over the first half of 2019. This, our single largest order to date, is made up of 63 Treka 16 coachbuilt minibuses and 40 Treka Van conversions. While Harrow Council have purchased a proportion of the vehicles directly, they have also partnered with leading contract hire provider Go Plant Fleet Services to fulfil the remainder of the order, with Treka providing a seamless delivery of this new fleet for the council. The first of these new Treka's were featured in the authorities new fleet launch event held at the Harrow Civic Centre in January, which gave stakeholders in the fleet replacement program and opportunity to see the latest and greatest vehicle offerings available to the authority.
All 103 vehicles are based on the Mercedes Sprinter 514 with 7-speed automatic transmission. The conversion specification includes 10 Phoenix removable saloon seats, TDS powered glider side entry door on all coachbuilt vehicles, Eberspächer climate control and PLS access H passenger lift on more than half of the vehicles. The vehicles are also fitted with a high-definition CCTV system developed by Treka Bus specifically for Harrow Council's unique requirements. This system is comprised of eight 1080p HD cameras, a 5" dash-mounted monitor, and an impressive DVR with 4TB hard drive recording all channels in full HD with GPS overlay. We look forward to seeing these vehicles servicing the needs of residents in Harrow for many years to come.
